Yesterday was New Year's Day and I slept until noon, lay on the couch until four, and then forced myself to go for a jog. My pounding head and slight dehydration were not as bad as the utter lack of motivation. I'm chalking this up to a learning experience. No drinking for me the day before the marathon.
Perhaps, but can there be a celebratory sip afterward? Otherwise this marathon thing may be all wrong for you.
